Mikaila has been off of oxygen for five days now. We haven't placed the canula in her nose for even a moment since mid day on Wednesday. I spoke with the lung doctor and he was quite pleased. He suggested we do an overnight oxymetry and ordered the device. We should have it either tomorrow or Wednesday. If successful, the monitor and oxygen tank should be out of the house in short order.

Dara and Kim,
Please feel comfortable with getting the wine to Wendy whenever you get the chance to come to Rochester. We are just glad to see how wonderfully Mikaila has grown. She'll soon be big enough to give Brooke a run for her money! Please post some pictures without the nasal canula so we can see her cheeks!! Rest and enjoy.

How wonderful to think Mikaila will soon be BEEP-free! Might that mean that her Mom and Dad will be able to actually get some sleep? Not a moment too soon. Kimmy and Dara are truly running on fumes!
God bless all three of you .... and we do all look forward to the pictures of Mikaila's sweet face sans canula ... or as Kim says, we'll be able to see her cute little button nose ....
And Diane, as for the wine, Dara has a photo of it sitting in the wine cellar that he could email you. You'll have it very soon and 'til then .... Cheers!

I am truly happy for all three of you. Dara and Kim, I feel for the two of you. Inshallah (God willing) you will be able to get some shut eye soon.
Hugs to all three of you... and I too am waiting to see a picture of Mikaila sans canula!
So please shoot!

Happy Day next Saturday when we'll get off a friend's boat in Cape Cod & make a pilgrimage to Mikaila!
Bill will get to hold his adorable step-grandbaby for the first time. (I told him he needs to practice with grapefruit ... carrying 3 or 4at a time...no juggling allowed).
And Diane, I promise the prize wine bottle will be handled just as carefully en route!
