Quick Update
Just a quick update; Mikaila had a stable night. She actually gained 30 grams and now standsa to 1520 grams or 3 lbs 5 1/2 ounces. I say actually because she was given a course of lasix with the transfusion to eliminate any incremental fluid so there was a chance she would either lose weight or maintain. That's it for this morning. I will do the typical evening post later.

All my good thoughts and prayers are focused on Mikaila... every single day. Even on days that I'm feeling down, Mikaila's little face and her big, big eyes (what colour are they anyway?)make my day, and she makes me smile and think of how insignificant my own worries and thoughts are! Mikaila, yes, you're my hero too.
I love you sight unseen... and can't wait till I can talk with you and hold you one of these days.

Why do I get these entries so late??? Checked last night but they hadn't arrived...
Thank you Mariam ... Mikaila just smiled.
She gives so much to us. For me, to see her for the first time, puppy-sized, awakened a whole New Beginning of my own. Now following Mikaila's progress has helped me understand the value of each day. Each day that I am able to digest a meal, keep myself warm ... breathe without assistance. The Universe knows though, that I would happily give up my space here for her ...
I don't think we'll know for a while what color her eyes will be ... but its so cute to see them looking big and blue like Kimmy's!
