I felt compelled to compose a quick update this morning. Mikaila tolerated her feeds last night very well. No aspirates. When they put her on the scale, she had gained 50 grams! She is up to 770 grams or 1lb 11 ounces. She is up 5 1/2 ounces from birth. At some point in the not too distant future, she will stop with the weight loss and consistently gain weight. We look forward to those days.

Sure... It's nice to have Kelly and Davia around so much now. Wait a few years and you will be running them off with a gun. Believe me its in the genes.

Hey! Thanks a lot, Dad! Mikaila told me she doesn't like you anymore. :) I got to spend some time with the little girl yesterday and she couldn't be cuter. The nurses say she is such a loveable baby. She opens up those big eyes quite often now and looks all around. I can't wait until she is big enough to squeeze!
Grandma Charlene here... I am so very proud of my new soulmate Mikaila & like most Grannies carry her picture everywhere, but I don't mean wallet-sized. Last night Grandpa Bill& I attended a party at a local inn and I never put down my 4x6 framed photo of Mikaila/Mommy Kangaroo care... showed it to total strangers. Am now hoarse from expounding on the burgeoning attributes of our miniature miracle. Lots of new prayers coming in Mikaila!!!!

Dara, I still remember you saying "go go car" and throwing your bottle out the car window in Karachi.
All the prayers and positive thoughts that we can muster, I send you, darling Mikaila. May you grow to be a strong lass, and may your dad have to buy a big ole shot gun to keep the lads off his grounds!!! To keep his princess safe always. Love you guys to bits.
